Any type of bathroom remodel is going to cost you.
For refacing have you checked out “Bath fitters”.

What do you mean by “the best?” I reckon Bath Fitter is the best. Bath Fitter is the only company with a one piece wall so there is not caulking seams in the corners. The wall is made by hand to fit your tub area. They send a technician out to measure your tub wall using 24 different measurements to make a custom wall. It looks much nicer than three pieces stuck to the wall then caulked in the corners. Also water cannot get in the corners this way. I reckon they are the best and their prices are about the same within a hundred or two hundred and sometimes they are even less expensive. Also Bath Fitter always uses employees and the others usually use sub-contractors and they do not specialize in acrylic like Bath Fitter does. In fact it might be thier first acrylic installation and you would never know! Bath Fitter trains their employees for months before they do a job at your house. Excellent luck!
